MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

2007 was essentially Multitel's consolidation year.

This was a consolidation of equity, account approval and auditing, clarification and recording of several items in the balance sheet, internal organization, the client base, partnership involvement and actions and trust among partners, and clear improvement of management instruments and discipline.

This was also a year to prepare for the future.

We had a clear vision in relation to business, technologies and clients, in relation to their relative positioning against the competition and with an investment programme focused on and geared towards achieving this vision.

Thus, 2007 was the starting point for building a more ambitious, more structured and clearer future for Multitel, an Angolan company that is essential for Angola’s sustainable economic and social development.

By maintaining the same guidelines in terms of technological and commercial capacity, healthy and professional relationships with its clients, management discipline and rigour, and permanent improvement of capacities and involvement of its collaborators in the future, Multitel will increasingly occupy a privileged space in Angolan economic and technological development.

MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL DIRECTOR

At the conclusion of the investment phase and internal competences strengthening phase, Multitel is prepared to introduce itself as a partner of reference on the corporate market, supplying Internet and telecommunications services and solutions.

This positioning has the dual objective of responding to the needs and expectations of this market segment while at the same time spreading Multitel's offer throughout the whole of Angolan territory.

In this respect, Mutlitel proceeded to significantly expand its current network, which consists of:

• The complementary nature of current coverage in the city of Luanda and outskirts, with FWA technology and Wimax technology;
• Installation of a Vsat platform, in KU band, with national coverage, HUB in Viana and integrated into the Multitel network.
• Increase in the number of Multitel Network POPs (points of presence) in the city of Luanda to minimize the conditions created with the construction of new buildings, and in the outskirts as a means to expand coverage.
• Installation of a high-bandwidth, redundant metropolitan ring (SDH), covering all Network POPs.
• Construction of an Operations Centre in Viana
• Strengthening of Control and Supervision system conditions (NOC)

In summary: The implementation of a new metropolitan network in Luanda and outskirts will enable customer service quality to be improved, guarantee greater availability, and broaden the offer of services. Furthermore, commissioning the VSat platform will provide national coverage and the offer of high-availability services in Luanda in very advantageous conditions.
